National Book Award and Pulitzer Prize winner Mary Oliver’s A Poetry Handbook addresses the fundamental elements of the poetic form. With her signature sureness and wit, A Poetry Handbook deftly illuminates the nuances of sound, metaphor, line breaks, and more. Join Executive Director Aaron Glover every Thursday evening in April discussing Oliver’s text, as well as exploring other examples from the canon. This discussion series is for practicing poets and curious readers alike.

Discussions will meet every Thursday in April, beginning at 7pm.

Aaron Glover’s first chapbook, Bio Logic, was released in February 2017 via INF Press. His poetry appears in the Virginia Quarterly ReviewIllya’s Honey, the Red River Review, Chicon Street Poets, and elsewhere. From 2011-2016, he was on faculty in the Department of Performance Studies at Texas A&M University. As a performer and director, he worked throughout Texas and the Great Plains. He holds an MFA from the University of Houston.
