What Will You Do For the Water?

Cara Mia Theatre Co.

Ojibwe Elder Sharon Day will lead an Ojibwe Water Ceremony at the bank of the Trinity River, to pray for the water and to pray for the earth. Sharon is the founder of the Indigenous Peoples Task Force and has led over 20 Water Walks since 2011, walking over 10,000 miles along the waterways of North America to offer prayers for the rivers.

The ceremony will take place at the Trinity River access point located under the Sylvan Avenue Bridge, via the free parking at Trammell Crow Park. Turn West at the light signal midway over the Sylvan Avenue Bridge and continue on the road that loops under the bridge to the two connected parking areas.
