Free Community Concert: An Evening of Cultural Appreciation

Moody Performance Hall

As arts organizations begin to emerge from pandemic-related lulls, Dallas’ Credo Community Choir and the Interfaith Council of The Thanks-Giving Foundation – in partnership – are thrilled to present this one-night-only show of support and appreciation for our city’s many cultures.

Performing groups include: the Anita N. Martinez Ballet Folkloric, Brotherhood of the Cross and Star (Ethiopian Choir), Credo Community Choir, Flamenco Fever, Korean Traditional Music Association, First Presbyterian Church Chancel Choir, One Accord Men’s Choir, and the Salaam Dabkeh Troup (Palestinian-American Club).

Dallas-based arts leaders, Terry Loftis (TACA) and Charles Santos (TITAS) emcee the evening’s festivities.

Almas Muscatwalla, Chair, Interfaith Council of Thanks-Giving Square and community organizer says, “We are committed to embracing and celebrating the diversity of cultures and faiths represented in the North Texas community. We believe that one of the ways to understand faiths is by experiencing their cultural expressions. This event will open the door to some of many horizons for further exploration with your neighbors.

“It’s thrilling to be able to bring such exceptional arts organizations together in this way. Arts and culture serve to strengthen a community’s character. We strive to encourage reflection and inspire those present to find connections that transcend differences.” Says Jonathan Palant, founding director of the Credo Community Choir.
