When Two Collide

Nasher Sculpture Center

In a wide-ranging and insightful conversation, Vanity Fair's Nate Freeman will chat with Grace Lynne Haynes, the New Jersey-based artist showing at Dallas Art Fair with the Turin-based Luce Gallery.

A rising star, Haynes was an inaugural member of Kehinde Wiley's Black Rock residency in Senegal, and during the pandemic found a new audience by painting some of the more memorable covers of The New Yorker in recent years.

At the Nasher, Haynes will discuss with Freeman her exciting series of work making its debut in Dallas: A cycle of painting that focuses on the way the history of dance—through different time periods and different places on earth—has influenced relationships between Black women for generations.

Registration is FREE for Nasher Members and $10 for non-members. Advance registration requested.

Masks are currently required for all guests of the museum while indoors. Current health and safety measures per CDC guidelines are in place and any updates to requirements will be sent prior to the event.
