5th Fair Park Blues & Jazz Festival - CANCELED

African American Museum of Dallas

UPDATE: Due to increased COVID-19 concerns, the African American Museum of Dallas has made the difficult decision to cancel this year’s Fair Park Jazz & Blues Festival, which was originally scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 4

The event is expected to return in 2022. Refunds will be made automatically within 7-10 business days to those who purchased tickets.

Bringing together some of North Texas’ most beloved jazz and blues artists, the 5th Fair Park Blues & Jazz Festival gets underway Labor Day weekend on Saturday, Sept. 4, from 4-9:30 p.m. at the African American Museum, Dallas. Proceeds benefit the museum’s youth educational program. The festival is dedicated to Fort Worth native Opal Lee, the 94-year-old activist who successfully led the decades-long campaign to make Juneteenth a national holiday.

The 2021 lineup features Mahogany The Artist, Herbie K. Johnson, Rob Holbert, Joyce Lofton, R. L. Griffin, The Legendary Creators, Daniel Jones and Friends, and Corrian & The Crew.

Guests are encouraged to bring blankets and lawn chairs. Food vendors will be on-site at the festival.
Tickets are $15 in advance (plus applicable fees) at fairparktix.com. Tickets will also be available at the door for $20. Food and drinks will be available for sale.
